The Optimus Prime Costume: Halloween 2007

I'm finally done. 6 weeks, $180 (CDN), and about 3000 swear words later, I give you:

Optimus Prime

(Click on the pics for full size versions)

Thanks to everyone who read along, everyone who commented, everyone who put up with me babbling on and on about this, and especially Lindsay for putting up with me doing this for 6 weeks and not dumping me; and especially for helping me put the #*$&#*$&#& thing on. (About 6 minutes for those who are wondering.)

great works, but make some underpants for your costume, your little grey trousers look silly.

It looks great! The proportions are really good. How well can you see out of that mask, though? Mostly it's just your eyebrows that show in the photos. Can you walk? Can you sit down? How well do the beverage compartments work?

Looks great. You might just save me from my own Halloween procrastination.

Great costume mang, I'm building one based off of your designs but am adding a pelvic girdle changing the arms a little bit for better articulation. I'm making a 'bboy friendly' version essentially (what's the point of having a robot costume if you can't do the robot?)

You are a Jedi of Foam and Cardboard... /bow
